I am very lucky to be a part of Grade 1-Narra’s Bigay Puso. Twenty kids from Grade 1 Cheerful of the Payatas Elementary School were invited to be a part of this program last February 10, 2010. I was assigned to be Parent Volunteer Number 6 –my task is to take a picture of this event. I consider myself to be the “EYE” of the program. I tried to capture each and every moment the kids were having.
My time with these kids has given me an invaluable window into the lives and minds of these children. The knowledge I have gained just by interacting with them would help me become a better parent and a better person. I hope and wish that I can extend my help further to those children that are in need and make my family most especially my kids to realize that helping others even in just their small little ways would make another person’s life better. Seeing these kids smile and hearing their laughter and stories about their lives made my day complete and it felt good!
