6.2 magnitude quake hits Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATE) A powerful earthquake struck the Philippine capital on Thursday, forcing office workers out of their buildings.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake measured magnitude 6.2.
There were no immediate reports of damage from the quake.
Phivolcs director Renato Solidum said the quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers west of Manila at 1:29 p.m.
The earthquake was felt at Intensity 4 in Quezon City and Intensity 3 in the cities of Makati and Mandaluyong. With Agence France-Presse
