How lucky can I be? Went to Araneta Center to buy tickets for the 1st day showing of Disney on Ice- Let's Celebrate knowing that I can't possibly get 4 front row tickets on the Patron VIP seats,but to my surprise the teller told us that there were exactly 4 vacant seats on the front row center! Without hesitation, I took the chance and bought it right away. Watching Disney on Ice have been a part of our family,I still remeber when my Mom took me for my 1st show and now I am gladly sharing that experience with my two awesome kids.A perfect Christmas treat for families,a date with our kids on Christmas day,after all Christmas is truly meant to be for kids and the kids at heart like me.

Finally, it's Summer-my favorite time of the year! School's out, that means I have more free time for myself and my kids and most of all I won't be driving them to school anymore... ( I hate driving that's why!) Now I am off to scout for summer activities for my kids, I don't want them to be bored especially they will be staying for 2 months at home. I want to enroll them in something productive that they can benefit from and help them in enhancing their talents.

I'm back and I'm happy that I can write about my thoughts and feelings here.... but sadly with everything that' s happening around the world, I just have to write about how the world feels to me with all the earthquakes,wars and tsunami going on. I received a letter from a friend today and I would like to share it to everybody.... The events that are happening around us is really scary but if you know in your heart that you believe in God, then there's no reason for us to be scared for we know that God will always be beside us to protect and guide us.

LUCIA REVEALS THE THIRD SECRET OF FATIMA

Regardless of whatever Creed or Religion, it is better to be

prepared and be in good terms with GOD,...who created us;

for we never know when we will be leaving this world.....

LAST SECRET OF FATIMA

The Church has given permission to reveal to the people the last part

of the message. The Blessed Virgin appeared to three children in Fatima ,

Portugal , in 1917........ this is a proven fact;one of these children was

Lucia, (died 2-13-05).

She was a cloistered nun, and lived in a monastery in Portugal .

Lucia disclosed the message for the first time; to Pope Pius Xll who,

after reading , sealed it and stored it away without making it public.

Later Pope John XXIII read it and, in the same manner as his predecessor,

he kept it out of the public eye because he knew that once revealed;

it would bring desperation and panic to mankind,

But now the time has come, and permission has been granted from Pope John

Paul II to reveal it to the children of God;........ . ........ not to

create panic, but to make God's people aware of this important message

and be prepared.

The Virgin told Lucia:

'Go, my child,

and tell the world what will come to pass during the 1950's - 2000's. Men

are not practicing the Commandments that God has given us. Evil is

governing the world and is harvesting hate and resentment all over. Men

will fabricate mortal weapons that will destroy the world

in minutes!.... .. where half of the human race will be destroyed.

The war will begin against Rome , and there will be conflicts amongst

religious orders...... .....

God will allow all natural phenomena like smoke, hail, cold,

water, fire, floods, earthquakes, winds and inclement weather to slowly

batter the planet.

These happenings will come to pass before the year 2012.!!!!

"For those who don't/won't believe..... . . this is the time.....

Your beloved mother told you:-

..........those lacking charity towards others, in words & deeds and

those who do not love their neighbour like my beloved Son has loved you

all ....... cannot survive! They will wish to have died.

God will punish severely those who do not believe in him, those who

despise him and those who did not have time for him."

God will help the world, but all of those who do not show fidelity and

loyalty will be destroyed!'

Father Agustin, who lives in Fatima , said that Pope Paul VI

gave him permission to visit Sister Lucia,a cloistered nun (she did not

leave the monastery nor was allowed to receive any visitors). Father

Agustin said that she received him greatly overwhelmed and told him:

'Father, Our Lady is very sad because nobody is interested in her prophecy

of 1917, though the righteous are walking through a narrow path, the

evil ones are walking through an ample road that is leading them straight

to their destruction! Believe me, Father, the punishment will come very

soon. 'Many souls will be lost and many nations will disappear from the

earth.

But, in the middle of all these, if men reflect, pray and practice

sincerity, good deeds, kindness and respect, the world can be

saved....... . .. However, if men persist with evil ways....greed, hatred,

selfish acts, rivalry, and rif, the world will be lost forever!.

The time has come for all to pass on the message of our Blessed Lady to

their families, friends, and to the entire world.

Continue praying, make penitence and sacrifices. We are close to the last

minute of the last day and the catastrophes are near. Due to this, many

that were far from the Church will return to the open arms of the Church of

Jesus

Christ.

The joining of the churches will result in one Holy Catholic and

Apostolic Church; ........ England , Russia , China , Jews, Buddhists,

Muslims, Hindus,Protestants, etc..... All will return believing and

worshipping God our Creator, in his beloved Son and in Blessed Mother

Virgin Mary.'

WHAT AWAITS US ???

Everywhere there will be 'Peace Talks', but punishment will come.

A MAN IN A VERY IMPORTANT POSITION WILL BE ASSASSINATED AND THIS WILL

PROVOKE THE WAR.

A POWERFUL ARMY WILL DOMINATE ALL THROUGH EUROPE AND THE NUCLEAR WAR WILL

COMMENCE.

This war will destroy everything; darkness will fall over us for 72 hours

(3 days) and the one third of humanity that survives this obscurity and

sacrifice, will

commence to live a new era; they will be good people.

On a very cold night, 10 minutes before midnight, A GREAT QUAKE will

souls to heaven, especially those who are in more need of thy mercy.

Blessed Virgin Mary, protect us, we love you, save us and save the

world'.

Pray 5 Creeds and the Rosary which is the secret to my

immaculate Heart. All those who believe in my words go and take the

message to everyone,

DO NOT FEAR! FEAR NOTHING DURING THE LORD'S GREAT DAY.

Talk to all, now that there is time. Those who keep quiet will be

responsible for all those souls who will perish in ignorance.

All those who pray humbly the rosary will have the protection of heaven.

Those who are bound to die, I will help them die in peace, and they will

be holy when they enter the other world.

I wish all my children to attend mass every first Friday and every first

Saturday of each month; to confess and receive Holy Communion; and in

doing so, save the world from its TOTAL DESTRUCTION. ..!!

When the earth shakes no more, those who still do not believe in our Lord

will perish in a horrible way:-

The wind will bring gas and it will disperse it everywhere, then the sun

will rise.

Maybe you will survive this catastrophe.

Do not forget that God's punishment is holy and

More than a year ago, a poser set up a fake Lee Minho Twitter account, luring in over almost 90k followers.

Looking on the bright side, seems like the savior has come along to save his fans as Lee Minho himself has finally made an official Twitter account.

Although he may have just a little bit over 3,000 followers since it only has been a day since he made one, his number of followers is most likely going to skyrocket soon. In his first tweet, Lee Minho uploaded a picture of him riding a bike along the field of greens while filming for a commercial, with the words, “I want to ride a bike.”

When news about Lee Minho’s supposedly legit Twitter starting to spread early last year, his company Starhaus Entertainment responded after going through a reasonable amount of investigation, “Lee Minho does not do Twitter. The one being known as Lee Minho’s Twitter was made by a poser. Due to the rising number of followers on that account, we’re currently looking for measures of preventing the possibilities of damage toward Lee Minho and his fans.”

My Father's Day Treat

We were about to have our Father's day Lunch at 7 Corners @ Crowne Plaza last Sunday, when a group of fans were all lined up at the Lobby area of the hotel, we thought that it was just because it's a special day and everyone is just going to have their celebration here, so I asked the Guest Relations Officer of the hotel if there was a waiting line for the Reservations, but she said that those people were fans of a famous Korean Actor. So that's the only time that it hit me.... It got me very excited and then I knew that Kim Hyun Joong of Boys Over Flowers is here at our hotel. We waited for a while until all the guards and Bouncers were taking over the area, so I guess his coming down the lobby already.

And so, there he is.. the famous Korean actor with the group Beast. They were about to leave the hotel and go to the airport for their Cebu Vacation Trip. Everything was so quick , he just gave a wave and then his off..

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to see him even for just a few min. after all I'm a big Boys Over Flowers Fan, I just hope that Korean Actor Lee Min Ho would come and visit Manila soon. I've heard news that his coming over by August(fingers crossed).

So what a lucky day for Me!!! Happy Father's Day!

School Year 2010-2011

            It's the start of the new school year once again and I have been preparing my kids things for school for the longest time. You see my kids things for school are based on a theme and each year is a different one. My daughter chose a Hello Kitty theme and my son chose a Toy Story theme, from the school bag, lunch bag, notebook covers, sticker labels, etc. Thank goodness for my little DIY school project. We have been searching for these school items ever since summer began and I'm happy to say that we did not have a hard time since these themes are available most often at a local bookstore. And for the bag tags or sticker labels I just made it from scratch using a photo shop software, that way ,it would be unique and they would be able to recognize their school things and materials from the rest.
            Aside from these, It is also a start of everything first for them. My daughter would be going to a big school this year. She's in Prep Level and she told me that she was very excited to go to school and meet new friends, I just really hope that she would be very independent from the first day of the class till the end of the school year and won't throw any tantrums since her class would be very early. I just hope that she would make new friends as soon as she steps in her new classroom.
           As for my boy, he would be in Grade 2 and that means he would be having his First Holy Communion. We are all excited for this event that would be on October of this year, every time we hear mass on Sundays he would just ask if he can receive it already, I guess he is too curious on how the Host taste like.. LOL! And also the Grade 2 Level would be having their KAB Scout activity as part of their curriculum. That means they would be having a camping night at school and just by the thought of it made me feel excited and a bit worried for my little big boy. Worried, yes because of small things, like can he sleep by himself? Can he go to the washroom by himself? or worried if he can change on his own or what if he gets hungry...etc. I know... I know I still have a separation anxiety and I do hope that I'll be able to overcome it soon, but I guess being a Mom just wouldn't let me go of that thought easily.. so I just better relax and leave the worries behind.

Wondering where I have been lately? Well this is the reason why I haven't been able to update my blog more often. We have traveled to Macau- the City of Dreams. I'm not after the beautiful and historical landmarks there but instead I was after this.... Yummy, Creamy and Smooth Filling of Portugese Egg Tart.

They are only sold for $5 / pc. I'm telling you, these Egg tarts are far better than Lord Stows.

I have tried different kinds of Egg Tarts from the expensive ones down to the local bakery stores but these Egg Tarts sold at TEA PLUS STORE is to die for and one of the best!

(Just my opinion) . They have become very popular because of the Korean show Boys over Flowers. Where the lead actress Jan Di bought some Egg Tarts and at the same time forgot her wallet. You won't miss it while your on the way going to St. Paul's Ruins or better yet they call it San Paulo.This is located on the right side going up the sidewalk street, and with the loud theme song of Boys Over Flowers , I'm sure, that alone will guide you to where it is.Oh and don't forget to also order there famous Lemon Tea ,

the Perfect drink to go with your Egg Tart.

I recently got an email offering my blog to be carbon neutral.. What is it? At first I have no idea how that means or how it would work but as I go along and researched about it, It made me realized their mission which is just simple : "GO GREEN!" Of course I want to help and participate as much as I can to help and protect our environment.

“My blog is carbon neutral” is an initiative, originally started in Germany by the “Make it Green” programme, that has the goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.They plant a tree and they would neutralize your blog.
1blog = 1 tree. There mission is to raise awareness of the carbon emissions resulting from the use of the internet - specifically of blogs.

And how do they do it? They plant trees incorporation with the Arbor Day Foundation in Plumas National Forest in Northern California for there project to neutralize the carbon footprint of blogs. Thousands of wildfires burned down many national forests over the past ten years and 88.000 acres of Plumas' were destroyed by two fires in 2007. To help replanting we need the support of bloggers all over the world! For every participating blog we plant a tree. One blog - one tree.

I think this is an awesome project that would help people raise awareness in our environment.The more people that would have a knowledge and would actively participate would make a big difference and help our world to be one and whole again,

I am very lucky to be a part of Grade 1-Narra’s Bigay Puso. Twenty kids from Grade 1 Cheerful of the Payatas Elementary School were invited to be a part of this program last February 10, 2010. I was assigned to be Parent Volunteer Number 6 –my task is to take a picture of this event. I consider myself to be the “EYE” of the program. I tried to capture each and every moment the kids were having.

My time with these kids has given me an invaluable window into the lives and minds of these children. The knowledge I have gained just by interacting with them would help me become a better parent and a better person. I hope and wish that I can extend my help further to those children that are in need and make my family most especially my kids to realize that helping others even in just their small little ways would make another person’s life better. Seeing these kids smile and hearing their laughter and stories about their lives made my day complete and it felt good!

History :
The image was brought to the Philippines by the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries in May 31, 1606. It was initially enshrined in the first Recollect church in Bagumbayan (now part of Rizal Park). In September 10, 1606, the church was inaugurated and placed under the patronage of St. John the Baptist. In 1608, the Nazarene image was transferred to the second bigger Recollect church of San Nicolas de Tolentino built inside the fortress of Intramuros. Between the years 1767 and 1790, the Archbishop of Manila, Basilio Sancho de Santas Justa y Rufina, ordered the transfer of the image of the Nazareno to the church in Quiapo under the patronage of St. John the Baptist. The intensity of the devotion to the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno flourished and spread throughout the Philippines.

Today, the head portion of the Black Nazarene is retained in the high altars of the Quiapo church while the body is used for public procession. In the 2007 Black Nazarene feast, both the original head and the body were combined together in celebration of the Black Nazarene's 400 year old history.

The veneration of the Black Nazarene is very popular among Filipinos because of their religious piety and devotion to the sufferings of Jesus Christ. Many devotees of the Black Nazarene attribute their poverty and struggles in the daily society to the wounds and tribulations of Jesus Christ, as represented by the Black Nazarene. Although the patron saint of the Minor Basilica of Black Nazarene is originally Saint John the Baptist, the consecration of the Black Nazarene has gained more popular because Jesus Christ is the center of piety and devotion, which may or may not be interceded through a saint.

I can't believe it but soon my son will be turning 7! Time flies so fast... and I still can't imagine that my baby is now a big boy! We are preparing a special party for him on his special day. I hope to see a big smile on his face, I have been helping him prepare his party and we try to give him what he wants. Last Saturday, September 19, 2009 M-150 hosted the Unleashed The Northern Adventure Race Event. It is a point-to point race event similar to Amazing Race - they have to get into the pit stop or checkpoints to reach to the next goal, the checkpoints are located in different places in the North area namely:Manila, Baguio, San Fernando, La Union, Dagupan and Subic.

The goal of the race is to reach the finish line in the least time within the limits of the law. The race started at 8 A. M. in Ortigas Home Depot. 50 groups participated in this race and they have an interval of 1 min. apart upon there registration. This kind of race will test the drivers and partici pants strength and stamina that's why M-150 Energy Drink will surely give them a boost and a burst of energy needed for this competition.M-150 is the perfect drink suitable for those looking for high end action.

MANILA, Philippines – Three areas have been placed under Storm Signal No. 1 as typhoon “Pepeng” becomes stronger while moving toward northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said today (Oct. 1).

In its 5 a.m. update, Pagasa said “Pepeng” was spotted 650 km east of Borongan, eastern Samar. The storm packs maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of to 185 kph, moving west northwest at 24 kph.

The weather bureau said Storm Signal No. 1 has now been hoisted over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes in the Bicol region.

“The eastern section of the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread over Bicol region, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides,” Pagasa said.

Pagasa also forecast “Pepeng” to be 310 km east of Virac, Catanduanes, by tomorrow. On Saturday, the storm is expected to be 190 km north of Virac, Catanduanes, or 310 km southeast of Tuguegarao City.

By Sunday morning, “Pepeng” will be 50 km west of Tuguegarao City, the weather bureau added.

Hollywood actress Anna Paquin was caught by the paparazzi riding a pink Hello Kitty bicycle, notorious sex kitten Paris Hilton partied wearing a Hello Kitty dress, society princess Tessa Prieto-Valdez consigned three Hello Kitty dolls in her image from local designers Kate Torralba, Dennis Lustico, and Jan Garcia to be auctioned for charity, and the cameras flashed like crazy at the launch last week when Derek Ramsey opened the doors of Sanrio Luxe wearing the cat’s pyjamas, clutching a Hello Kitty doll to his bare chest.

“Hello Kitty is a non-invasive icon, versus anime which can be enjoyed only by a niche market. Hello Kitty appeals to everybody, whe-ther young or old. Also a Hello Kitty fan, Ms. Van Straten recalls Sunday trips to Bookstop with her dad, who indulged her in what she wanted to buy — of course she always made a beeline for the Hello Kitty items.

“I’ve loved cute things since I was in Grade 3; I’ve never really stopped. It’s true, I never grew up; I’m still a kid. Hello Kitty is for the young at heart and the adventurous who like this kind of playful stuff. I’ve collected Hello Kitty bags for P13,000 and P15,000. I’m even asking Tita Virgie if I can get a discount for the bags here. I might work for Hello Kitty bags,” Ms. Van Straten told BusinessWorld.

Sept 26, 2009 Wrath of Typhoon ONDOY .

The RAINFALL we experienced in 6 hrs was equivalent to 30 days of rainfall. This broke the record rainfall dated 1967 .

Thousands of people homeless. Helpless, Desperate, Angry, In denial. Shocked.

People could not be saved all at the same time for lack of govt resources , manpower and sheer danger in the rescue efforts. Hence, the delay in the rescue.

This is nature’s wrath and man’s folly put together.

Now dat Peping is 3 days away & we dont know and cant tell for sure just how strong it will be this time, if u live in low lying areas or know pipol who do, some tips for disaster & calamity preparedness for the whole family :

1) LGUs & homeowners associations must quickly invest in rubber/motor boats- for quick response & immediate evacuation of residents in subdivisions. Unless we can all afford AGAIN to wait for help.

2) If possible, have presence of mind: DO NOT panic. EACH able membr of d family mst have his/her own bag with the essentials: H20. food. Clothes.blanket, raincoat, medicines, first –aid kit, flashlight, a whistle, milk, diaper etc. according to one’s most urgent needs. The backpack must contain emergency goods, good for at least 48hrs. MAKE SURE BAGS ARE WATERPROOF or - items wrapped in thick plastic bags for added protection.

3) Bring fully charged phones and extra batteries if possible- you need these when you have to climb on top of your roof again.

4) Bring a small radio with extra batteries to be informed. Bring a list of all important telephone numbers to call in times of emergency or store these numbers in ur celphone.

5) Wag magpakasiguro – use your instinct – lumikas na agad kaysa maiipit at matrap ulit.

Because – ONDOY will happen again … and u will never know when help & rescue will come. Self preservation is a must !

Goodbye Cory!

No other words can best describe the President Corazon Cory Aquino. Her love for the country and the people made her more than the Mother of Democracy. She is a devoted Christian and deserves to have the respect and dignity.

We were able to pay a visit the Aquino's ancestral home in Times Street during her last day, the kids made a special card to Cory saying" We will never forget you and Pls. be our Angel." We have to place it under a cardboard plaque that was also placed there because it was raining, the kids were a bit worried if the card would be able to last longer because of the rain.

I have fallen in love
with the same woman three times;
In a day spanning 19 years
of tearful joys and joyful tears.
I loved her first when she was young,
enchanting and vibrant, eternally new.
She was brilliant, fragrant,
and cool as the morning dew.
I fell in love with her the second time;
when first she bore her child and mine
always by my side, the source of my strength,
helping to turn the tide.
But there were candles to burn
the world was my concern;
while our home was her domain.
and the people were mine
while the children were hers to maintain;
So it was in those eighteen years and a day.

Why not try to do it to your Mother's picture and see for yourself how it would look like? How would you feel?

Got it in my email, if it is true, How wonderful it is, that Our Mother is always there to look after us-her children.

We don't know why John Paul II wanted to hide this picture for years. The Vatican published this picture recently for the first time. This picture was taken by one of his security guards just when the Pope was attacked and was falling down in his Papal mobile. You can see the pain on his face.

Joaquin Navarro Valls, who is the spokesman from The Vatican, said that they made a lot of studies for years of this incredible picture. The quality of the developing of the picture, when it was developed nobody could see very well because the image was not clear. Finally, after so many controls and being looked and checked by all the experts in photography (around the world), they concluded that there were no tricks in it and today they give us this beautiful gift from our Mother of God.
You can see the Mother of God holding John Paul II in her arms. Beautiful isn't it?

I was looking for a nice handy phone that will suit me, I admit I had a hard time canvasing and looking for new mobile phones out in the market. I went to different stores to check and try the different features of each phone. So the search for my new phone continues Nokia - they say often comes out with new models and designs thus the value of the phone easily goes down,same with Sony Ericson, Samsung offers touch screen phones and is known for having a dual sim feature.Motorola- I don't like the styles of their latest models. So as I was watching the tube with the kids I saw the advertisement of LG Cookie - I'm really not a techie kind of person, what's important to me is the function and features that I can really use, I know that now is the generation of 3G but really, I'm just not into it or I just can say that I just need a phone just to get in touch with important matters, like making a few calls or getting and receiving messages. I went to Greenhills (cel kiosk) and went straight to our suki, he gave me a few options and I immediately checked the LG KP500. Instantly it felt good once I held it in my hand, not bulky and very light, just the right size that I need,now when it comes to style, this LG phone really rocks! I LOVE Bags! But I can say that I'm not that much of an addict.. not just yet... I love bags since I can remember but I'm also not that choosy when it comes to branded stuffs, I just like bags that catches my attention.. because I have a friends that are bagaholics and lately I noticed that Louis Vuitton Bags are everywhere,on the streets, in schools, malls, etc.. the fact is it's hard to tell if it's real or fake, well, unless if your a real expert on it! My priorities in life have changed ever since I had kids, for me these branded bags are not necessary, it's more of a fad??? Everywhere you go, you'll definitely bump into someone carrying a branded bag,LV perhaps or a Gucci. Oh well, real or fake, what matters is what's in that bag! LOL! BTW Madonna will be the endorser of LV's upcoming Autumn/Winter fall 2010.

Back in the 80's when I was just a little girl I admired the big picture of my Mom that hangs on our wall.She had big curly, wavy,tousled hair and she was so beautiful. That's my favorite picture of my Mom, and I knew back then that she likes Farrah Fawcett-the actress very much, based on that picture she copied her hair and so does the rest of the 1970's era of Charlie's Angels Fanatics.Who would resist that True American Beauty? She was on every Poster, Lunch boxes, T-shirts , toothpaste and shampoo... That's the only memory I have of her. Its' too sad that yesterday 2 Famous People from the Showbiz Industry died.

Farrah died at the age of 62 battling 3 years of Anal Cancer. I was able to watch her documentary "Farrah's Story" struggling for her disease and I admire her for being brave and she was able to share to the whole world about the awareness of Cancer. May You Rest in Peace Farrah-Fly like a True Angel!

When I was a small girl, I used to listen to my cousins favorite songs on the radio, songs that I still remember up to now, Ben, Someone in the Dark, etc..
Just a few songs that touched a lot of people world wide. There will never be any other musician as BIG as Michael, the music industry will never be the same without you. He was suppose to have a comeback concert in London entitled This Is It, too bad the big dream never came...

Michael Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him. "It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said.

On Independence Day, AKO MISMO will celebrate the event with DOG TAG DAY at the Bonifacio Global City open field. The venue will open by 2pm to allow everyone to enjoy fun and meaningful activities at the concert grounds. From 5-7pm, we will have school bands as well as professional bands performing, and everyone will have a chance to hear about the charities we are supporting. After that, the day’s event will culminate in the concert proper which will run for another 2 hours, featuring some of the country’s hottest bands: Pupil, The Dawn, Bamboo, Kamikaze, Kjwan, and Up DharmaDown. There will be booths for each of our 11 beneficiary charities where people can check out and purchase specially designed AKO MISMO t-shirts and other merchandise, the proceeds of which will go towards socio-civic activities and the charity they choose to support via their purchases. I'm so scared with this Pandemic! I'm starting to get paranoid too, especially now that students in schools are being affected. Last Night we got the news from Ateneo that classes are suspended because 3 High School Kids are diagnosed with the disease. I hope the family will be spared from this sickness.

People who live in these areas who develop an illness with fever and respiratory symptoms, such as cough and runny nose, and possibly other symptoms, such as body aches, nausea, or vomiting or diarrhea, should contact their health care provider. Their health care provider will determine whether influenza testing is needed.

So I researched a bit and found these precautionary measures:

There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.

Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.

There is no vaccine available at this time, so it is important for people living in these areas to take steps to prevent spreading the virus to others. If people are ill, they should attempt to stay at home and limit contact with others. Healthy residents living in these areas should take everyday preventive actions.

This is to inform the Ateneo de Manila High School community that the AHS is suspending classes for ten (10) days beginning Wednesday, June 10. The suspension is due to three confirmed cases of Inluenza A (H1N1) among students of the AHS. Classes will resume on Monday, June 22.

The results of the three boys who tested positive for the H1N1 virus were received by AHS Principal Father Raymund-Benedict Q. Hizon, S.J., at 4:30 p.m. on June 9. He noted that all three cases are mild. The three infected boys are in fact already feeling better, and were advised to rest at home and continue with their self-quarantine, with no need for hospitalization.

The suspension of classes is a necessary measure prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH) to prevent more members of the community from being infected. Everyone is advised to stay home and avoid heavy social contact for the duration of the suspension of classes.

Anyone who exhibits flu-like symptoms between now and June 20 is advised to call hotline 426-5930 during office hours or call/text 0918-9144633 for instructions on how to proceed. The designated referral center closest to the Ateneo de Manila is the Lung Center of the Philippines at Quezon Avenue (924-6101 & 924-0707). Kirsten Dunst Returning For 'Spider-Man 4,' Villain To Be Chosen Soon

NEW YORK, New York -- Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, "Spider-Man 4" producer Todd Black told the New York Post.

The star will rejoin director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker's love interest in the latest installment in the popular superhero franchise, which is slated for May 6, 2011.

However, don't expect wedding bells for Mary Jane and Peter - Black told the newspaper that he was unaware of such a subplot. At the close of "Spider-Man 3," the two had an emotional - but ambiguous - reunion after the film's events drove the lovers apart.

Additionally, Black hinted at the film's villain, shooting down online rumors that pegged comic book character Morbius the Living Vampire as the latest member of Spidey's rogue gallery.

Instead, the producer told the Post that the villain had a significant connection to the Big Apple.

"We're just coming up with who the villain is now," he said. "We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."

In past films, Spider-Man has faced off with the Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Venom and Sandman, leaving a number of famous villains who could make their silver screen debut in "Spider-Man 4."

Among the popular options are Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, the Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Venom offspring Carnage and the Lizard, whose human alter-ego, Dr. Curt Connors, had a role in the previous two movies.

Another potential foe could be New York crime boss the Kingpin - however, the character appeared in 20th Century Fox's "Daredevil" and would likely require a rights acquisition by Sony Pictures.

But the crime lord would give the film a New York connection - and would also be Access Hollywood film critic Scott Mantz's top choice.

"The Kingpin is grounded in reality, and that's the appeal of Spider-Man," Mantz said, adding another suggestion to the mix - femme fatale the Black Cat. "I'd like to see the Kingpin and the Black Cat, to stir the pot with Peter's relationship with Mary Jane."

Gigantors Big Come Back!

Gigantor is back - now more hilarious ! My 6 year old is a big fan and keeps on watching the Night at the Musuem 1 film every now and then on his DVD. He really asked us if we can watch it on the big screen with him, that's how he likes it, So yesterday we watched it at Trinoma and to my surprise the movie is a lot funnier, with all the solid all star cast. Terrific visual effects , Amy Adams is good here , she's adorable and my kids can relate to her because of her Enchanted Movie. One is blond, loyal and kind. The other, raven-haired, charming and rich.

Both great catches in the eyes of many, but after 67 years of being entangled in the comic world's longest-running love triangle, Archie Andrews is set to tie the knot. His fiancé? That vixen Veronica Lodge.

Gasps resounded from the comic's fans yesterday after Archie Comic Publications announced the flighty redhead from Riverdale picked Veronica over Betty Cooper. The publisher sent speculation swirling in mid-May when it announced a special marital-themed storyline for release in August but didn't reveal the lucky lady. The wedding will take place after the gang graduates college and venture out into the working world.

Response to the proposal has been markedly divided. Betty fans are outraged the girl next door has been ditched yet again for the beautiful, yet spoilt, Ronnie. Many question whether Archie should marry at all, lamenting a possible end to the enduring comic-book soap opera (The last time the comic toyed with ending the triangle, Archie chose a third option, Cheryl Blossom, in a cop-out ending.)

But whether you're in Betty or Veronica's corner – and let's face it, most of us have a gut response – Archie's choice of life-partner urges us to look inward. What does the couple we root for say about us?

Perhaps more than we realize, relationships expert Marion Goertz says.

“People who vote for Veronica-Archie are the idealists, the people who say, ‘I'm voting for the glitz, the glamour, the high energy, the sexiness, the ideal [and] they might not even care so much that it'll only last five years,'” says the Toronto-based registered family, marriage and sex therapist.

Those who yearn to see Archie and Betty get hitched take a more realistic, traditional view, she says. They're more grounded, are thinking long term and have more of a sense of “for always and forever.”

The way the girlfriends each relate to Archie sheds a lot of light on their character. Betty allows Archie to push her aside, a sign she'd make a submissive wife, Ms. Goertz says.

“Veronica just kind of takes what she takes and doesn't give a whole lot in return, but there's a sense that she's the prize, the unattainable, the hard to reach. Archie's quite flattered by that.”

While she wishes both women would just ditch Archie for good, Toronto sex and relationships columnist Josey Vogels says their love triangle has influenced the way we approach our dating lives.

“We [often] go between the predictable, safe, reliable, loyal, but maybe not that exciting and passionate [relationships] to the more unavailable ... slightly more mysterious and angst-ridden high drama relationships,” she says, adding that the good girl vs. bad girl dichotomy is often played up in the dating game.

Archie's pick of a modern woman who is independently wealthy (okay, it's daddy's money) is a sign of the times, she adds.

Feminist professor Maureen Bradley would take it a step further.

“The spoiled rich girl is still more appealing, and maybe that's a wise thing to pick in these uncertain times,” says the associate professor of media at the University of Victoria.

The choice to create Veronica as a raven-haired minx is also surprising, she says. Historically, the temptress has always been blond – just look at Marilyn Monroe.

“I think you marry the nice girl, I don't think you marry the whore,” she says, adding that the man of the 1950s would certainly take Betty home to their mothers and perhaps take up an affair with a girl like Veronica.

Though a modern man himself, comic-book salesman Kody Peters is outraged over what he views as Archie's woeful taste in women.

“I'm shocked and appalled,” the 23-year-old employee of Toronto's Silver Snail Comics bookstore said yesterday when delivered the news.

“They're both madly in love with him, but really, aside from that, Veronica's got nothing to offer, whereas Betty is like the sweetest girl in the whole world.”

The characters also weighed in on the proposal.

“I wonder if Betty wants to be my Maid of Honor? I bet she is so happy for me” Veronica mused on her blog yesterday. Meanwhile, Betty was speechless but expressed her sorrow amid a string of x's and o's. Reggie, the comic's smarmy bad boy, was opportunistic. “Betty is probably free Friday night. Maybe I should ask her out.”

Leah, a commenter on the Neatorama.com blog, expressed surprise that Archie's best friend Jughead was left out in the cold.

“If he doesn't marry Jughead I will NEVER read an Archie comic again. Honestly those two have the most chemistry.”

My family loves to eat out and try different restos epecially those that are new.We are definitely mad about food and here's one of our food escapade.We had our lunch at Tokyo Cafe in The block at SM North Edsa just beside Bread Talk and the aisle going to the Cinema junction. The prices are a bit expensive at P400+ and it is exclusive of VAT but with no service charge.They also have a branch in Mall of Asia.Here's my review:

Hamburger Steak (P193) - Pan fried flavored meat patty served with special gravy and 2 slices of big tempura.Big servings!

Chicken Cheese Balls ( P 213) - A cheese Bomb!!!! It taste crunchy and the cheese really melts in your mouth, the teriyaki sauce added to the exquisite flavor .A must try!

Tomato Garlic Shrimp Pasta (P219) - A combination of Sharp and light tomato sauce sauteed with shrimps and button mushrooms. It's quite good except that it's too oily.

Classic Pepperoni Pizza (P193) - Classic slices of pepperoni topped with stringy mozarella, thin crust yummy!!!!!

The coffee jelly - free with an Iced lemon tea drink. The taste is quite strong ( coffee flavored gelatin).don't order the Iced lemon Tea, too plain and dosen't taste good.

The story of The Chocolate Kiss Cafe as it is today started long before the restaurant space, at the then newly-constructed Ang Bahay ng Alumni, was offered to sisters Alma and Maline.

Alma and Maline have been baking cakes and

cookies from their home kitchens for the longest time: for their kids' birthday parties when they were growing up, for their husbands' officemates, for neighbors, for friends, for friends' friends.

Back then, it was "The Chocolate Kiss Homebaked Delights". It was a hobby for the most part, but also a modest family business, especially come Christmas time.

Christmas, you see, is when the sisters' kitchens transform into their own Santa's little workshop. Everyone--husbands, kids, household helpers--pitches in to take down orders, run to the store, bake, package, and deliver these Holiday goodies.

The cafe has since expanded to three branches, each with its own charm.

UP 2nd floor--the original cafe--overlooks the UP track and field oval. It seats around 90. Serves lunch, merienda and dinner Mondays to Saturdays. Live music awaits diners four nights a week.

UP, Ground floor--the younger, smaller cafe--seats 50. Is open for early-folks and breakfast meetings; up to afternoon merienda. Tables with umbrellas are lined up outside the main dining room for those who prefer their meals al fresco.

Our newest branch at Roces Avenue opened July, 2005. It introduces a young and fresh touch to the Chocolate Kiss.

Bretto's Fine Meats and Deli Shop located at Perimeter Road, Angeles City along Clark Pampanga is the best, tastiest and biggest burger and steaks that I've seen and tasted. Their serving is so huge that I doubt it if you can finish it all.

The burgers on the other hand is a different story, the burger patties are so fat and juicy served with fries , the largest I've seen,(somehow I think it's too scary to eat them cause, feels like just by looking at it, your already full, I even had my burger sliced) .You can choose from a variety of sizes to the standard size and the half pounder.

Bretto's have also alot of other food varieties their tasty meat pies, crockpot delights ( steaks, turkey, tony's famous rissoles , hungarian ghoulash and beef stew). They also have sausage delights (different kinds of sausages) and their creamy desserts of ice-cream and of course their house specialty which is the cheescakes! ( Too bad I wasn't able to order it, I was so full, Felt like I'm gonna burst! (LOL)

After we have our very heavy lunch we visited their meat shop and deli to buy and take home some of their products. They sell imported sausages, steaks, cheese, meats and australian sweets and pretzels which my kids love. They also have dips which is perfect for the pretzels. You should try Bretto's Fine Meats and Deli Shop once your in the area to experience it's tasty gourmet food that you can't find here in Manila.
